BRIDGEPORT — A Bridgeport man was convicted Friday of manslaughter after a jury rejected his claim that a home intruder had fired the gunshot that killed his longtime girlfriend in 2011, according to the Connecticut Post.
Abimael Ramos, 31, had faced a murder charge, but ultimately was convicted of first-degree manslaughter with a firearm, according to the report.
The jury found he had shot Luz Morales inside their shared Wood Avenue apartment May 23, 2011, according to the report.
