Bridgeport Man Charged With Heroin, Crack Possession In Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. — A man from Bridgeport was charged with interfering with the police and two counts of possession and sale of narcotics, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Tyquan Welfare, 21, was apprehended by patrol officers near the corner of Seaside Avenue and Cove Road after 8:30 p.m. Sunday. He was allegedly found with 33 folds of heroin weighing more than 10 grams, 2.8 grams of crack cocaine and $1,056 in cash, reported the Stamford Advocate.

Police were reportedly alerted in advance that Welfare was coming to Stamford to allegedly deal drugs, according to the Stamford Advocate. He was released after posting a $45,000 court appearance bond, the Stamford Advocate said.
