Bridgeport Man Busted For Selling Fentanyl In Stamford, Police Say

A Fairfield County man was busted for allegedly selling fentanyl throughout the county following a four-month investigation.

Edson Casseus, age 36, of Bridgeport, was busted on Friday, Jan. 21, at the SONO Collection mall by the Stamford Police Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit, Captain Richard Conklin of the Stamford Police said.

Casseus was arrested after agents were able to secure an arrest warrant charging him with three counts of sale of narcotics, Conklin said.

During the takedown, officers located 3.9grams of crack cocaine, 14 illegal pills, and $3,936 in cash. 

Two search warrants were executed in connection to the case and more evidence was located and seized at those locations, Conklin said.

Casseus was charged with:

  • Three counts of sale of narcotics
  • Possession of narcotics
  • Possession of a controlled substance. 

He was held on a total bond of $125,000.

Casseus is currently on parole for previous narcotics-related charges. Parole issued a remand for custody.
