BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Sally A. Yish Chop, of Bridgeport, died Monday, Aug. 31 at Gardner Heights Health Care. She was 93.
Chop was born in Bridgeport on March 28, 1922, to Andrew and Katherine Yish.
She worked for Shick Safety Razor and retired in 1984.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband Frank; son Robert; and her brothers and sisters; Frank Lesko, Stanley Yish, John Yish, Agnes Mikita and Lucy Stupac.
Chop is survived by her children and their spouses, Frank and his wife Barbara of Stratford, Sally-Ann Pazsak and her husband Alex of Milford, and Beverly Birch and her husband Mickey of Seymour; daughter in-law Donna of Oxford; and 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are on Wednesday, Sept. 2 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Dennis & D'Arcy-Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, located at 2611 Main St. in Stratford.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Sept. 3 at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Roman Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Bridgeport.
