He was born Thursday, June 24, 1952, in Norwalk.
He was the son of Postell Boyd and Willie Mae Boyd.
He was predeceased by his father and brother, Postell Boyd Jr.
He leaves behind his mother, Willie Mae Boyd; son, Iverey Lyons "Jaz" and daughter-in-law, Evelyn Lyons; two grandchildren Elexxus Lyons, and J.J. Lyons, all of Ansonia; two sisters, Deborah "Sissy" Boyd of Stamford and Marie Washington of Florida.; cousins, Dorina "Dobie" Haynes of Virginia, Jackel "Jackie" Robinson of Trumbull; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
There will be a viewing from 10-11 a.m. Friday.
A homegoing service will proceed from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 1100 Park Ave.
Interment will follow to Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Ave., Norwalk.
