BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Patricia Rooney Warren, former Bridgeport resident, died on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015. She was 84.
She was born on Nov. 26, 1931, in Bridgeport to Francis B. and Nancy (Ramek) Rooney and was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Robert E. Warren.
She graduated from Central High School and the Booth & Bayliss School in Bridgeport, and was employed at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford, and at Warnaco in Bridgeport.
She was active in Trumbull Little League, Pop Warner Football and YMCA Girls Basketball. Also, she was a volunteer at St. Joseph's Manor for the Aged and Infirm for over 25 years.
She resided at Independence Hill in San Antonio, Texas for the past three years. Visitation will be from 4-5 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 10, at Porter Loring Mortuary North in Texas.
She is survived by her children, Dr. Robert C. Warren., his wife, Therese of Avon, Ohio; daughter, Sheila A. Kobilsek and husband, Michael of Helotes, Texas; and grandchildren, Daniel Warren, Joseph Warren, Catherine Warren, Andrew Kobilsek and Kaitlin Kobilsek.
Other survivors include her sister, Dr. Joan Riccitelli of Orange; and a brother, Francis Rooney of Satellite Beach, Fla.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Rooney.
