BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Gertrude Canavan Rollins, of Bridgeport, died Saturday, Feb. 6. She was 86.
Born in Port Chester, N.Y., Rollins was an avid bowler in many leagues, bowling many times each week.
She is survived by her husband, Vincent Rollins; daughters Jeanie Salvio of Stratford and Patricia Rollins of Bridgeport; grandchildren Douglas, Frank, Gina and Marcus Salvio; great-granddaughter Penelope Prue; nieces and nephews; and special family friend Paul Palumbo Jr.
Rollins was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Margaret Canavan.
Visiting hours will be from 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 11 at the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
