Nightly I-95 Bridge Maintenance Beginning In Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced nighttime bridge maintenance will be performed on various bridges on Interstate 95 southbound in Bridgeport during August.

The work consists of bridge maintenance from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Aug. 2-31 on the following bridges:

• Bridge 00130 over Church Street
• Bridge 00129 over West Broad Street
• Bridge 00128 over Stratford Avenue
• Bridge 00127 over South Avenue
• Bridge 00125 over Moffit Street
• Bridge 124 over Stagg Street

Drivers can expect lane closures between exits 29 (Stratford Avenue), and 35 (Bic Drive) in Milford.

Traffic control personnel and signs will guide motorists through the work zone.

The regular work schedule for this project is from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays. Motorists should be aware modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.

Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in the work area.
