BRIDEPORT, Conn. — Traffic was backing up Tuesday morning after a multi-vehicle accident blocked two lanes of I-95 on the Bridgeport-Stratford border, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.
The accident is on I-95 southbound at Exit 30 for Surf Avenue. It is blocking the right and center lanes, DOT said.
Traffic is backed up for about 2 miles to Exit 33 for Ferry Boulevard/U.S. 1, DOT said.
The multi-vehicle crash was reported at about 9:20 a.m. Tuesday, DOT said.
Firefighters and medics responded to the crash, which involves a car and a box truck, according to NBC Connecticut.
One driver is trapped in a vehicle and may have serious injuries, NBC Connecticut said.
It was not known how long it would take to clear the accident scene.
