Former Bridgeport Principal Pays Restitution After Gambling Funds

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Theft charges against Bridgeport’s former Dunbar School principal have been dismissed because she’s met the terms of her pre-trial probation, according to the Connecticut Post.

Marilyn Taylor, now living in Georgia, paid restitution of the more than $10,000 she gambled from her students’ activity funds, according to the Connecticut Post.

A Board of Education audit discovered Taylor made multiple withdrawals for casino trips in 2013 and 2014 and was subsequently charged with first-degree larceny, according to the Connecticut Post.
