Bridgeport Twins Admit To Violent Robbery, Carjacking Of Delivery Driver

Twin brothers in Fairfield County admitted in federal court to carjacking a food deliveryman, leaving him with broken bones and a bleeding brain before they stole his car.

Bridgeport residents Antoine Snell and Treyquane Snell, both 20, pleaded guilty to a federal robbery offense stemming from a violent robbery and carjacking of the delivery driver in Ansonia, U.S. Attorney John Durham announced.

On Dec. 21, 2016, the twin brothers and a third juvenile placed a food order with an Ansonia restaurant that was to be delivered on Dwight Street.

When the driver arrived at the location, the three ordered him out of his car, attacked him and stole the car. The driver suffered injuries that included multiple broken bones in his face and bleeding in his brain.

Both Snell brothers pleaded guilty to one count of Hobbs robbery. When they are sentenced on Wednesday, Nov. 6, when they will face up to 20 years in prison. The juvenile involved in the robbery was already charged, convicted and sentenced in state court.
