2-Year-Old Girl Pulled From Pool At Bridgeport Home Dies

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A 2-year-old girl who was pulled from a pool Friday at a home on May Street in Bridgeport died Sunday night, the Connecticut Post reported.

Police Chief AJ Perez told the Post that the girl, who had been on life support, died at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

The girl's name has not been released.

The mother removed the toddler from the pool at about 2:30 p.m. and performed CPR until emergency responders arrived, the Post said.

The initial police investigation characterized the incident as an accident, Perez told the Post.
