FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- A Fairfield County lottery player was among the three people in Connecticut who won $1 million in Wednesday night's Powerball drawing, according to NBC Connecticut.
The winning numbers in Wednesday's record $1.5 billion drawing were 4, 8, 19, 27, 34, and a Powerball of 10. The jackpot was split between winners in California, Florida and Tennessee.
Three players in Connecticut matched the first five numbers to receive $1 million, NBC Connecticut reported. One winning ticket was sold in Fairfield County, one was sold in Hartford County and one was sold in New London County, according to NBC Connecticut.
In addition to the $1 million tickets, four people won $100,000 and seven people won $50,000, NBC Connecticut said. A total of 350,629 winning tickets were sold in the state, NBC Connecticut reported.
