BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- The 11th Annual Project Homeless Connect will provide those in need with free social services at the University of Bridgeport on Tuesday, Aug. 2.
The annual one-day event connects homeless adults, youth and families and at-risk individuals with services such as speakers, health and wellness screenings, haircuts, dental screenings and information on housing services, mental health, recovery, job training and financial services — all in one location.
Free books from the Bridgeport Library Book Mobile will be available.
Childcare will be provided.
Project Homeless Connect will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Wheeler Recreation Center.
Project Homeless Connect welcomes homeless neighbors into the life of the community, changes the way resources are accessed, and achieves quantifiable results for people experiencing homelessness.
Project Homeless Connect is hosted in partnership with United Way of Coastal Fairfield County.
