Fairfield Museum Offers Fall Art, History Programs For All Ages

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The Fairfield Museum and History Center has four program options this fall for children and adults, and enrollment is currently open.

Classes and programs related to art, culture and history begin in October and November; enrollment is open, and space is limited. Visit this link for more details and to register.

The Lion’s Studio Art Enrichment for ages 7-9 will take place on Mondays from 4-5:30 p.m. Nov. 14, 21, 28 and Dec. 5. Hosted by Cassie Walker of The Lion’s Studio, the program will focus on children learning from the world of art. The cost for members is $90, and for nonmembers it is $110. 

Watercolor Painting En Plein Air with Judith Orseck Katz is for ages 15 and older, including adults, taking place on Tuesdays from 3:30-6 p.m. Oct. 4 and 11. Local artist and teacher Judith Oreck Katz, author of "POND," will lead this art and painting workshop in the surrounding area of Fairfield Museum. Materials will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own supplies, as well. For members, it will cost $45, and for nonmembers it is $60 per person. 

Miss Annie’s Museum Munchkins for ages 4-6 will take place on Wednesdays from 4-5:30 p.m. Session 1 is Oct. 5-26. Miss Annie of Great Beginnings Montessori School will celebrate diverse holidays and explore the history of the town with the children in attendance. The cost is $90 for members and $110 for nonmembers. 

History By Hand for ages 8-13 will take place on Tuesdays from 4:30-6:30 p.m Nov. 15, 22, 29 and Dec. 6, 13, 20. Director of Education Christine Jewell will invite creative kids to learn art, design and sewing. Students will also have time to choose their own projects. For members, it will cost $90, and nonmembers will pay $115. In addition, there is a $25 supply fee.
