Registration Opens Feb. 1 For Stamford Triathlon In June

STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Navigators Stamford KIC IT Race Weekend returns June 11 and 12.

The race weekend features the Navigators Stamford KIC IT Kids Triathlon at Stamford's Cove Beach on Saturday, June 11, and the Navigators Stamford KIC IT Olympic and Sprint Triathlons and 5K and 10K road races at Cummings Beach in Long Island Sound on Sunday, June 12.

The five races aim to raise awareness and funds for Kids in Crisis, a free emergency shelter and resource for 24-hour crisis counseling. The organization recently endured a budget cut of $750,000 from the State of Connecticut.

Triathletes choosing to fundraise will get a discounted registration fee of $20 or $40. Entry will be free for those who raise more than $750.

5K and 10K runners who raise $250 or more will gain free entry. Kid triathletes get to race for free if they raise $150.

Registration for Race Weekend begins Feb. 1 at www.kicittriathlon.com.
