BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- The Barnum Festival’s “Barnumpalooza” kicks off the closing weekend of the month-long festival on Saturday at Seaside Park in Bridgeport.
The event features food trucks, a beer garden, live music and fun rides for the kids. Admission is free.
More than 25 food trucks are scheduled to visit, with something for every appetite. Ice cream, donuts, baked goods, seafood, grilled cheese, yogurt, barbecue and more will be on the trucks at the Barnumpalooza.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free. VIP Access is available for $25 from noon-5 p.m. with seating near bands and special access to the beer garden. Access seating for $40 is available from noon-5 p.m. on Saturday and will continue into the Pops Concert, which begins at 7:30 p.m.
The entertainment list features DJ Dan Moran, The Dan and Jay Band, Elle Sera, Tracy Jo & The Toads and Mystic Bowie.
The Barnum Festival was founded in 1949 to build community spirit in the region and to pay homage to P.T. Barnum - showman, entrepreneur and philanthropist. He founded the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.
