Fairfield's Saltwater Boutique Toasts Mother's Day Early — With Beer
FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Saltwater is celebrating its first Mother's Day with a call out to dads.
Jake Sokol and Brad McBrair, the husbands of owners Jessica Sokol and Sarah McBrair, will be on hand Sunday, May 7, for a special shopping event -- with beer from Aspetuck Brew Lab.
The promotion, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., will send 10 percent of its proceeds to The Cancer Couch Foundation, a local charity geared toward metastatic breast cancer.

Fairfield Eatery Donates Portion Of Tuesday Sales To Norwalk Nonprofit
FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- b.good in Fairfield is all about doing good.
And so, as part of its ongoing support for Food Rescue US, the Norwalk-based organization that delivers healthy food from businesses that have too much to people who have too little, it will donate five percent of its sales on Tuesday, April 18 to the non-profit.

Bankwell Hosts Stamford 'Shred Day' To Help Combat Identity Theft
STAMFORD, Conn. -- From credit cards to CDs, New Canaan-based Bankwell is helping Fairfield County residents safely dispose of expired personal financial information with a "Shred Day," this Saturday in downtown Stamford.
Free on-site shredding services will be held at the bank’s 612 Bedford St. branch on Saturday, April 15 from 9:00 a.m. until noon. Residents are encouraged to securely dispose of old disks, credit cards, passports, bills, invoices, checks, statements or other personal papers. Individuals are asked to limit their items to two 2 ft. square boxes.

Farm Life: Stew Leonard's Launches 'Name Our Animal Babies' Contest
DANBURY, Conn. -- Stew Leonard’s Little Farm locations in Danbury and Norwalk will open for the season on Saturday, April 29.
And that means greeting some new spring arrivals.
The birth of two baby cows, two baby goats and two baby sheep are planned for 9 to l0 a.m. in Norwalk (100 Westport Ave., 203-847-7214) and 2 to 3 p.m. in Danbury (99 Federal Rd., 203-790-8030).
