Parkway Closure Planned On Long Island A new overnight closure has been announced for a parkway on Long Island. On Thursday, May 23, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., both directions of the Loop Parkway in Hempstead will be closed, the New York State Department of Transportation announced. Alleged CVS Thief Nabbed Following Long Island Crash A Long Island man has been arrested after police said he stole cash from a CVS, fled from a traffic stop, and eventually crashed into an overpass.
