Driver, 31, Killed When Car Barrels Through Guardrail, Overturns In Montgomery Twp
A 31-year-old New Brunswick man was killed when his car crashed into a guardrail in Montgomery on the early morning of Saturday, March 16, authorities said.
At 6:10 a.m., Erik Rivera was driving a 2011 Lexus east on Belle Mead-Griggstown Road when he collided with the guardrail at an intersection, Montgomery police said.
The vehicle left the roadway and ended up overturned in an embankment, partially submerged in water, police said.
Rivera was extricated by first responders and transported to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries, police said.

Two Women Killed In Crash Between Jeep, RAV4 In Hudson Valley
An investigation is underway after two female drivers were killed in a crash in the Hudson Valley.
It happened just before 10:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29 in Orange County in the Town of Newburgh.
The vehicle, a 2018 Jeep Wrangler, was observed on Main Street by Walden Police and was subsequently stopped, according to state police, who noted that Town of Montgomery Police stopped to assist at the scene.

Area Woman Upset Over School Bond Vote Arrested For Making Terroristic Threat, Police Say
A 63-year-old woman has been arrested for making a terroristic threat against the Valley Central School District, according to Montgomery Police.
The incident took place around 10:10 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 20, when police were made aware of the threat to the district, said Det. Sgt. Sarge Farina.
Within an hour, police were able to identify and located Alice K. Lubitz, of Walden, who allegedly made the threat in anger of an upcoming school bond vote issue, Farina said.
"By the actions of this threat, the voting process was disrupted," he said.
