The identities have now been released of a couple killed after crashing near a bridge connecting the United States and Canada on one of the year's busiest travel days. The Thanksgiving Eve incident happened early Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 22 on the Rainbow Bridge at Niagara Falls, New York. Niagara Falls Police say Kurt Villani, and his wife, Monica Villani, both age 53, died in the vehicle explosion which led to a federal investigation. Masked Burglars Nabbed After Foot Chase Through Bucks County: Police
Two men face criminal charges after police found them prowling near a Northampton Township home on Monday night, Nov. 20, according to officials. Police said they spotted a pair of masked men in dark clothes poking around the front yard of a property in Richboro sometime during the evening. A kosher chef from Teaneck who appeared on the Food Network show "Chopped” was jailed after a grand jury in Hackensack indicted him on charges of sexually assaulting a child. Shalom "Sal" Yehudiel, 41, was arrested at JFK Airport last month when authorities said he tried to flee the country. He'd only just had previous child sex assault charges against him dismissed by a judge in Hackensack at the time. Blame Game: Suspect In Fatal Troy Stabbing Had Been Released Despite Wanted Status For Assault
A 20-year-old undocumented immigrant was arrested in connection with a deadly stabbing in the region that occurred after he was released from custody despite being wanted for another broad-daylight stabbing. Emergency crews in Rensselaer County were called at around 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, for a stabbing in Troy near River and Duow streets, mere yards from KIPP Troy Prep Elementary School. Customs and Border Patrol officers seized another shipment of counterfeit diabetic socks headed to Loudoun County, officials said. On July 29, law enforcement found 165,707 pairs of diabetic socks that violated the Cotton seal at the Area Port of Norfolk-Newport News, just after they seized over 100,000 counterfeit pairs two weeks prior, according to U.S. Customs and Border Patrol. A Connecticut man was sentenced to more than a decade in prison for trafficking drugs on the dark web, leading to a fatal overdose, and firearm charges.
