Duo Convicted Of 'Senseless' Drive-By Shooting In Plainview
A pair of Long Island men were found guilty by a jury of shooting and killing a young father outside of his parents’ home.
Douglas Coudrey, age 26 of Eastport, and Kenneth Regan, age 25 of Centereach, received their convictions on Tuesday, Feb. 6, according to the Nassau County District Attorney.
The jury deliberated for three hours.
On January 14, 2020, 27-year-old Justin Gottlieb, who was recently engaged and had an infant daughter, was driving home to Plainview from his electrical engineering job in Jericho.

A man is facing charges after officials claim he burglarized Long Island businesses, stealing more than $500,000 in both merchandise and in currency.
John Cipolla, age 50, was indicted for the 2022 Plainview incidents, the Nassau County District Attorney announced on Friday, Nov. 10.
Cipolla, a resident of Long Island City, first began his alleged monthslong conspiracy on July 31, 2022.

A Long Island man was arrested for harassment, assault, and more after police said he made threats at two different places, including one church.
On Tuesday, Aug. 15 at approximately 1:05 p.m. in South Farmingdale, Nassau County Police reported that Deer Park resident Besart Astafa entered the Medwell Spa located at 34 Hempstead Turnpike.
Once there, Astafa, age 28, allegedly began to make terroristic threats, the specifics of which were not released by officials.
Customers were able to intervene, restraining Astafa until police arrived and placed him into custody.

Nine Long Island pals have claimed their lottery winnings, lottery officials announced.
The group of friends, all from Westbury, split their respective shares of a $1 million Powerball second prize on Friday, April 14, the New York Lottery reported.
The winning numbers for the drawing, which occurred on Friday, January 13, were 30-43-45-46-61 and Powerball 14.
Each friend took their payment as a single lump sum after required withholdings, according to lottery officials.

A lucky man has joined the millionaire’s club after hitting it big on a scratch-off New York Lottery ticket.
Long Island resident Vipan Kumar, of Plainview, claimed the top prize on the $5,000,000 X Series: 100X scratch-off game, the NY Lottery announced.
Kumar received a single, lump sum payment totaling $3,255,000 after required withholdings.
He bought the lucky ticket at Farmingdale Petroleum, located in Hicksville on South Oyster Bay Road, lottery officials said.
