A fundraiser has been launched for the family of a Berks County man who was killed in a motorcycle crash in Centre Township on Sunday, Aug. 21.
Steven Brenner, 29, was traveling south on Railroad Road on his 1973 Harley Davidson when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road while speeding, Pennsylvania State Police said.
He drove off the road, hit a ditch in a driveway, and crashed into a farm trailer, police said. The man, who police say was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene around 4:40 p.m.

A Hudson Valley resident who worked as an administrative assistant died unexpectedly at the age of 31.
Dutchess County resident Ashley Marie Fortier-Curtis, of Hyde Park, died at home on Thursday, June 23, according to her obituary.
Fortier-Curtis was born in Poughkeepsie and worked for Bottini Fuel as an administrative assistant/dispatcher, her obituary said.
Before her position at Bottini Fuel, she worked in home health care.
She is survived by her mother, Corinna Fortier, her step-father, Warren Qualls, and her brother, William Qualls, her obituary said.

Lodi Firefighter, 48, Dies On Vacation
What began as a holiday trip ended tragically for a beloved Lodi firefighter, his fellow first responders and loved ones.
Antonio Mercado III died in a Texas hospital on Monday after being admitted several days earlier, friends and fellow firefighters said.
Mercado, who'd suffered from heart trouble, had been with Lodi Rescue Truck Co. 1. Before that, he rode with Hose Co. 1.

Chester County native Kevin S. Crosby died on Aug. 3 at the age of 32.

Gregory Gibson of Morris Plains died Tuesday, June 25 after a year-long battle with leukemia. He was 53 years old.
A Dumont native, Gibson leaves behind his wife, Melissa, and three children, Jeremy, Kyle and Kelly.
