Realtor Who Killed Her Father, His Girlfriend In Surf City Home Sentenced: Prosecutors
A Pennsylvania realtor convicted of killing her father and his girlfriend on the Jersey Shore will spend the rest of her life in state prison, authorities said.
Sherry Lee Heffernan, 57, of Landenberg, PA, received two life sentences on Friday, May 10, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced in a news release. After a four-week trial, a jury found her guilty of two murder charges on Friday, Mar. 1.
Prosecutors said Heffernan killed 87-year-old John Enders of Surf City and 75-year-old Francoise Pitoy of Manchester back in September 2021.

A 57-year-old Elizabeth man was sentenced to 25 years in state prison on Friday, April 12 on the two-year anniversary of when he ran over a woman with his SUV following a minor crash, authorities said.
At 8:30 a.m. on April 12, 2022, Vincent Jean and Morgan Scott, a 23-year-old woman, had gotten into a collision on Salem Avenue and Aberdeen Road in Elizabeth, when Scott got out of her car and was taking pictures of the vehicles from the sidewalk, Union County Prosecutor William A. A contractor in Bucks County awaits sentencing after being convicted of sexually assaulting the child of a client in 2021, officials say.
Jeffrey T. Lukens, 62, of Buckingham Township, was found guilty of felony indecent assault of a child under 13 and unlawful contact with a minor, said Bucks District Attorney Matthew Weintraub. The jury delivered its verdict Wednesday, March 15 following a three-day trial, the DA said.

A Delaware County man is guilty of the rape of a 13-year-old girl, authorities say.
Haralambos Giannopoulos, 38, of Nether Providence Township, was convicted of indecent assault and corruption of a minor following four hours of jury deliberation on Thursday, Nov. 17, police said in a statement.
His victim, now 19, took the stand to give emotional testimony during the three-day trial.

UPDATED: A New York City man was found guilty after a jury trial on Monday in the 2018 killing of a drug dealer from Ocean County, authorities said.
Anthony Barksdale, 26, also known as Shakar Barksdale and previously from Seaside Heights, was convicted in the fatal shooting of Steven E. Stallworth, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said in a statement.
