Man Charged With Killing His Brother In Bethel Pleads Not Guilty
A Bethel man arrested for killing his older brother has pleaded not guilty to murder charges.
Matthew J. O'Dell, 40, was arrested on murder charges on Wednesday, Nov. 13, by Bethel Police.
The prosecutor said his brother, Richard O'Dell, 42, had been shot four times in the head at close range.
During the hearing where O'Dell pleaded not guilty, attorneys said that he suffered from mental health issues.
Richard O'Dell was found dead by his mother around 6:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 11, at their home on Apollo Drive, said the Bethel Police.

Attorney Failed To Report Stolen Guns, Including One Used To Shoot At Cops, Stamford PD Says
A Stamford attorney has been arrested for allegedly failing to report the theft of six of his handguns after one of the guns was used to shoot at Stamford Police officers during an arrest attempt.
Ridgely W. Brown, 72, was arrested on Wednesday, July 10, on six counts of reckless endangerment and failure to report a stolen handgun, said Stamford Police Lt. Michael Noto.
Brown was arrested after he came to the Stamford Police Department on Monday, July 8, to report that six of his guns had been stolen sometime in October or November of 2018, Noto said.
