Cold Case: 2 Charged With 30-Year-Old Killing Of Teenager In Fitchburg
Two men have been charged with the fatal shooting of a teenager in 1993 in Worcester County, authorities announced on Monday, March 25.
Robert D’Lucca, 49, and Lawrence Calafell, 51, of Gardner, were indicted on one count of murder in the death of 15-year-old Deondray Atwood, the Worcester County District Attorney's Office said.
They were also indicted on charges of armed assault with intent to murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, carrying a firearm without a license, and possession of ammunition without an FID card.

A Hampden County man is accused of robbing a couple in West Springfield before forcing the woman at knifepoint to go with him to a hotel, where he planned to rape her, authorities said.
Michael Hunter, of Leeds, is charged with armed robbery, two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, kidnapping, assault to commit rape, and assault and battery, West Springfield police said.

A Springfield man could spend more than two decades behind bars for the 2021 armed robbery of a convenience store, authorities said.
Warner Donaldson, 50, was sentenced to 17 to 23 years in prison on Tuesday, Jan. 30, the Hampden County District Attorney's Office announced. A jury convicted him on Friday of armed robbery while masked, assault with a dangerous weapon, and theft under $1200.
Donaldson was accused of the Feb. 28, 2021, robbery of a convenience store in the 500 block of Boston Road, the prosecutor said.

A 51-year-old man faces weapons and drug charges after he challenged a group of teens to a fight while waving a machete and an axe in Downtown Boston, police said.
Israel Silva, 51, of Roxbury, threatened to attack a group of teens and challenged them to fight shortly after 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 27, around the Temple Place area, according to Boston police.
Officers arrived and watched as Silva reached into his pocket and retrieved a small axe while holding a machete in his left hand, police said.
He continued to taunt the group of teens, who ran away in fear, police said.

Two teens will face serious charges after a shooting that left a 17-year-old dead and another man hospitalized with critical injuries in DC, the Metropolitan Police Department announced.
