DNA Links Man To Decades-Old Sex Offenses Across Fairfax County, Police Say The recovery of DNA evidence has linked a Loudoun County man to unsolved sex offenses dating back to the 1990s in Fairfax County, police announced. Edward Eugene Pottmyer, 58, of Chantilly, was arrested on charges of forcible sodomy and intent to defile on June 5, Fairfax County police said. The development in the cases is due to recovered forensic evidence from the scenes, which was submitted for analysis.
