Gwyneth Paltrow Sued: Former Waccabuc Resident Was In Skiing Accident, Report Says
Former Northern Westchester resident Gwyneth Paltrow is being sued by a man who claims that she seriously injured him in a skiing accident, according to a report by BBC.
Paltrow, who once lived in the Lewisboro hamlet of Waccabuc, made an appearance in a US court on Tuesday, March 21 as the trial over the claims begins, the news outlet reported.
The incident in question happened in February 2016 at the Deer Valley resort in Utah, where Paltrow, age 50, was on vacation with her family.

Paul Silas, 3-Time NBA Champion Player/Coach Who Lived In Waccbuc, Dies
Former NBA player and coach Paul Silas who lived in Northern Westchester for a period of his life has died.
Silas died on Sunday, Dec. 11, at the age of 79, according to a tweet by the Houston Rockets, where Silas' son Stephen, is the team's head coach.
The cause of death was cardiac arrest, his daughter, Paula Silas-Guy, told The New York Times.
The Silas family lived in the town of Lewisboro hamlet of Waccabuc while Paul Silas was an assistant coach with the New York Knicks from 1989 to 1992 and New Jersey Nets from 1992 to 1995.

Loretta "Lorry" Margaret Riley Lambert died in White River Junction, Vermont, on Tuesday, June 4.
She was born in Jackson, Michigan, on May 4, 1931. A graduate of St. Mary's High School in Jackson she received an AB from St. Mary's College, South Bend, Indiana, in 1953.
While attending college in South Bend, she met John "Jack" F. Lambert from Darien who was attending the University of Notre Dame across the street. They married in 1953.

John A. Moore, a longtime resident of the hamlet of Waccabuc in Lewisboro, died on Thursday, May 2 in Jupiter, FL. John was born in Watertown, NY, son of Anna and Clare Moore. The family eventually moved to Syracuse, where John later graduated from Syracuse University.
After pioneering in the computer world, John joined Reader's Digest in the '70s where he was a group systems analyst. After years with the Digest, he and a partner formed their own fulfillment business. He retired in 2000 to go on to enjoy the good life of golf, travel and family.
