An elderly man and woman have died after being struck by a vehicle while walking to a polling place to go vote, reports Fox 5 DC. The collision that took the lives of the 70-year-old woman and 65-year-old man occurred around 7:30 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 8. The pair were crossing School Drive heading to Field Roads Elementary School in Gaithersburg to vote, continued the outlet. Support for Gov. Andrew Cuomo continues to wane as the majority of New Yorkers are encouraging him not to run for re-election next year, according to a new Siena College poll. School Budgets Pass In All But One District In Hudson Valley
Only one district in the Hudson Valley failed to have its school budget denied by voters. Voters came out in force on Tuesday, May 18, and all budgets were passed in Rockland, Westchester, and Putnam counties outside of the Carmel School District, where voters narrowly rejected the spending plan by less than 200 votes. Several York County polling places ran out of Ballots on election day. Many people, mostly Republicans were turned away around 11 a.m. according to election officials. The Nashville Volunteer Fire Company in Spring Grove was one of the locations that ran out of Republican paper ballots, but offered voters an ADA machine touchscreen.
