Illegal Marijuana Dispensary: Man From Region Busted, Police Say
A man from the region was busted for allegedly running an illegal marijuana dispensary without a license.
Sullivan County resident John T. Lomio, age 36, of Yulan, was charged on Monday, July 31, in the town of Highland.
Sullivan County sheriff's deputies executed a search warrant on Monday, July 31, at Lomio's mobile office trailer known as the Green Room, in the parking lot of River's Edge Restaurant and Motel located at the intersection of Routes 97 and 55 in the hamlet of Barryville, said Sullivan County Undersheriff Eric Chaboty.

Sexual Exploitation: Stamford Man Charged In Connection To Incident Involving 9-Year-Old Girl
A Fairfield County man has been charged with child exploitation offenses following an investigation by the Stamford Police and US Homeland Security.
Vanessa Roberts Avery, US Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced on Wednesday, May 24, that Servio Barros-Terreros, age 56, of Stamford sexually assaulted a girl when she was 9 and 10 years old.
As alleged in court documents, in December 2022, a minor female victim reported that, when she was nine and 10 years old, Barros-Terreros had sexually assaulted her multiple times.
