Three-Time Riverhead Burglar Pleads Guilty For String Of Lowe’s Thefts
A Long Island man who allegedly stole over $3,000 from a Lowe’s store three times has pleaded guilty, officials said.
The plea came on Tuesday, May 16 from Terry Smith, aged 60, of Riverhead, the Suffolk County District Attorney announced.
Smith is accused of burglarizing the Lowe’s Home Improvement Store located on Old Country Road in Riverhead on three separate occasions.

Town Employee In Suffolk Arraigned For Stealing Property
An employee of a Long Island town was arraigned after authorities said he stole and sold town property worth thousands of dollars.
Robert Chura, age 29, of Selden, was arraigned on Thursday, Jan. 6, after he was accused of stealing tools from the Town of Huntington and selling them, according to an announcement from Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney.
Chura was charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree grand larceny, and official misconduct, the DA's Office said.

A suspect implicated in a string of commercial burglaries in Westchester County was taken into custody following a brief investigation, police announced.
Detectives from the New Rochelle Police Department investigated reports of four commercial burglaries that took place overnight on Tuesday, Aug. 10, and Wednesday, Aug. 11 in the South West area of New Rochelle.
The investigation led police to identify a suspect, who was later taken into custody.

Convicted CT Killer Is Facing Domestic Assault, Strangulation Charges
A man who was sentenced to 12 years in prison for manslaughter was recently nabbed by the police as he allegedly attempted to flee a domestic violence incident.
On Tuesday, Dec. 1, at around 6:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a violent domestic disturbance on Taylor Street in Manchester. A female victim said that she had been strangled, assaulted, and threatened by her ex-boyfriend Stephen Soboleski, Manchester Police said.
Soboleski, 30, of Naugatuck, had allegedly fled the scene in a motor vehicle before police arrived, but was soon spotted on Taylor Street, police said.

Man With Decades-Long History Of Burglaries Steals $25K From New Canaan Home, Police Say
More than a year after the crime took place, DNA left on a rubber glove at the scene of a burglarized Fairfield County home connected a man with a history of burglaries dating back to 1983 to the theft of $25,000, according to police.
The New Canaan home was reportedly broken into on March 25, 2019.
Ezra Hill of Stamford, 54, was arrested on a warrant on Monday, Sept. 1 and is currently incarcerated at Bridgeport Correctional Facility.
Hill was charged with the felonies of first-degree larceny and third-degree burglary, and will have his day in court on Friday, Oct. 16.
