Covid-19: Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney Tests Positive
Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney announced he's infected with the COVID-19 virus.
The 55-year-old Democrat said he tested positive on Tuesday, Jan. 11, and is experiencing minor symptoms.
Maloney represents New York's 18th congressional district, which includes Newburgh, Beacon, and Poughkeepsie, Putnam County, as well as parts of Northern Westchester.
"While I am experiencing minor cold-like symptoms, I’m grateful to be fully vaccinated and boosted, which is protecting me from more severe illness," Maloney said in a statement.

Saying "what's being alleged simply did not happen," New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said that despite growing calls to step down amid a flurry of sexual harassment allegations, he will not resign.
"I never harassed anyone, I have never abused anyone, I have never assaulted anyone, and I never would," Cuomo said in a conference call with reporters early Friday afternoon, March 12.

New York Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden for president in 2020 on Monday, Jan. 13, touting the former vice president's ability to defeat President Donald Trump in November and unify the country once in office.

Stolen Mail Can Lead To ID Theft, Westchester DA Warns
In the wake of several instances involving stolen mail in the area, officials in Westchester are offering advice to residents to avoid becoming the victim of opportunistic fraudsters.
Last year, police in Yonkers, Mount Vernon, White Plains, Tarrytown, Harrison, Purchase, Bronxville, New Rochelle, North Castle and other communities investigated incidents involving mail thefts.
