A man known for his passion and love for Atlantic City High School sports has died, according to a fundraising campaign. A GoFundMe page said John Bucci died on Sunday, June 2 at around 7 a.m. The man nicknamed "John John" was an Atlantic City high graduate "with Viking pride" and was last employed by the city's school district. New Jersey's top education officials have signed-off on a referendum for a merger between two school districts. On Friday, March 8, Acting New Jersey Department of Education Commissioner Kevin Dehmer approved Seaside Heights merging with the Toms River Regional school district. Legislation To Allow Cameras On School Bus Stop Signs In Westchester Proposed By Officials
Officials in Westchester are proposing a bill that would authorize school districts to install cameras on school bus stop signs as a way to catch drivers who illegally pass them. The authorization that would be set by the proposed bill is required under New York state law for any county, city, or town that maintains roads, according to Westchester County Executive George Latimer.
