Four Norwalk School Put In Lockdown After Shots Fired In Area, Police Say
Four Fairfield County schools were briefly placed on lockdown after shots were fired in the area.
The incident took place around in Norwalk around 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 24.
Norwalk Police responded to the area of Bouton Street after receiving a 911 call of shots being fired, said Sgt. Sofia Gulino, of the Norwalk Police Department.
Out of an abundance of caution, the schools in the immediate area were alerted, while police personnel searched the area and gathered information, Gulino said.

Another Fairfield County middle school will move to full remote learning due to staff shortages associated with COVID-19.
Roton Middle School in Norwalk announced on Tuesday, Dec. 1, that beginning Wednesday, Dec. 2, students and staff will move to full remote learning, through Friday, December 11.
Students and staff may return to in-person learning on Monday, December 14, 2020.

Courage To Speak About Being Drug-Free Celebrates 14th Annual Family Night
The 14th Annual Courage To Speak Empowering Youth to Be Drug Free Family Night will take place on Tuesday, March 20 at 5:30 p.m., at Roton Middle School, 201 Highland Ave. in Norwalk.
