A former Connecticut police sergeant has been charged with allegedly stealing more than $184,000 from a Police Benevolent Association.
New Haven County resident Peter Parks, 42, of Milford was arrested on Monday, Nov. 27 for the theft over a period of several years from the Milford PBA, Milford Police said.
Parks, who served as president of the non-profit organization, resigned from the department when a termination hearing was scheduled after an internal affairs investigation found evidence that he had stolen the money, the department said.

A Fairfield County police officer has been accused of allegedly stealing cash during a large drug bust.
Bridgeport Police patrol officer Christopher Martin, age 54, was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 11, and charged with larceny and tampering with evidence, said Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management for Bridgeport.
According to Appleby, Martin, a 21-year veteran of the department, resigned as suspension paperwork was being prepared by the department.

A former Carlisle police narcotics detective and FBI Task Force Officer has been found guilty for abusing power, having sex with informants, giving them drugs and lying to government investigators, according to the US Department of Justice.
Christopher Collare, 53, of Blythewood, South Carolina (formerly of Carlisle, Pennsylvania) was found guilty by a federal jury on Friday.

Nine Massachusetts Police Officers have been arrested in connection with an overtime fraud scheme that allegedly bilked taxpayers out of $200,000.
The police were arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 2, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Massachusetts.
