A Maryland man was extradited to Harrisburg for robbing multiple pharmacies across three states, according to Southern York Regional police.
Jamal Alvin Lee Gwaltney, 30, of the 700 block of Villager Circle in Baltimore, MD, was arrested on July 19 in Maryland for armed robberies of pharmacies in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
One of his most notable robberies was in Pennsylvania at a Rite Aid in Shrewsbury located at 577 South Main Street on Dec. 21, 2020.

Ex-Con Charged In Gunpoint Essex Drugstore Robbery Spree
Key pieces of evidence led to federal charges against an ex-con for robbing pharmacies in Belleville, East Orange and West Orange at gunpoint, authorities said Wednesday.
Police recovered a gun in his girlfriend’s car that Malik Conley, 27, of Newark, used in the second holdup last December in Belleville, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito said.
Conley and an accomplice struck again a month later, this time in East Orange, Carpenito said, adding that keys to the vehicle used in that robbery were found in his pocket.

Police Need Help Identifying Gunpoint Pharmacy Robber
Police are asking the public for help identifying a man wanted in connection with a gunpoint robbery of a pharmacy.
The incident took place in Dutchess County around 5:59 p.m., Friday, June 5, in the City of Poughkeepsie, said Det. Lt. Matt Clark.
According to Clark, police received a report of a robbery at the Smith Street Pharmacy at 269 Mansion St., in the City of Poughkeepsie, in which a man armed with a gun demanded pain medication.
