Two Maryland men who tried to set a house on fire with people inside on the Eastern Shore were arrested this week after being caught red-handed with the fuel they used to set it, state police say.
Lascelles David Beckford, 37, a Somerset County resident, and Dante Jamar Stone, 34, of Salisbury, went through great lengths in an attempt to torch the home of two people they were familiar with, according to officials.
The incident was reported at around 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13 in the 12000 block of Independence Court in Princess Anne.

Deaths Of 2 CT Men Found In Burning Vehicle Ruled Homicides
Two deaths of two Connecticut men who were found in a burning car in May have been deemed homicides by the state Medical Examiner's Office.

The two men, David J. Rivera, age 36, and Carlos O. Calderon, age 39, both of Hartford, were found in New Haven County around 4:10 a.m., Thursday, May 30, on Roosevelt Drive in Oxford.
According to the Connecticut State Police, the fire was extinguished by fire personnel, at which point it was discovered the two dead men were inside.

Two teens are facing charges after investigators in Maryland made a grisly pile of charred dogs that were allegedly abused, officials say.
Paul Thomas Baylor III, 19, and Justin Uzonna Anabaraonye, 18, were both arrested following a probe by the Allegany County Sheriff's Office into dogs that were found "in what appeared to be a burn pile," authorities announced.
