Convicted Felon Puts Corrections Officer In Chokehold At Cumberland County Prison, Police Say A 30-year-old convicted felon — in his third prison in six months — is facing new charges after putting a corrections officer in a chokehold, the police announced on Tuesday, April 2.  Justin Miles Bookwalter of Huntingdon is accused of placing "the Corrections Officer in a headlock, while in the headlock the Corrections Officer was unable to breathe," the Middlesex Township police stated in the release.  This incident happened at Cumberland County Prison on March 27, 2024.  This is Bookwalter's third county prison stay since Oct. 31, 2023. Drunk Man Shatters Cell Door At Cumberland County Booking Center, Police Say A 39-year-old Carlisle man shattered the plexiglass cell door at the Cumberland County Booking Center on Feb. 23, 2023, authorities say.
