Truck Backs Into House In Ardsley A house had to be stabilized after a truck slammed into it in Westchester.  The crash happened on Monday, Sept. 16 around 12:30 p.m., when a truck backed into a house in Ardsley, according to the Hartsdale Fire Department.  Soon after the collision, crews from the Hartsdale, Greenville, and Fairview Fire Departments responded to the residence to shore the building before removing the truck.  Once several struts were placed in the damaged home, the truck was removed. More permanent wooden shores were then built to replace the struts, firefighters said.  No injuries were…

Car Crashes Into Store In Hartsdale A store in Westchester was damaged when a woman crashed her car into it.  The crash happened on Friday, Aug. 2 just after 8:30 a.m., when a car crashed into the Mattress Firm store in Hartsdale at 84 South Central Ave. According to the Hartsdale Fire Department, the car was found 50 feet into the store with the front driver's side over the basement stairwell. Because of this precarious position, the car had to be stabilized before the driver and passenger were freed. 2 Injured In 2-Car Crash On Sprain Brook Parkway In Hartsdale Two people were injured in a collision on a busy parkway in Westchester, including one victim who had to be extricated from their damaged vehicle.  The incident happened on Friday, March 15 at around 2 p.m., when two vehicles collided on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Hartsdale, according to the Hartsdale Fire Department.  Arriving crews worked to stabilize the two vehicles and extricated one person from a damaged car.  The cause of the crash and the extent of the injuries were not detailed by the department.
