Five Pennsylvania children were victims of a Florida man's international sextortion scam that started more than a decade ago, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024.
Alvaro Andres Valarezo Sandoval, 34, an Ecuadorian national most recently of Miami, Florida, was arrested at his home by PSP troopers in Miami with the assistance of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, their Special Operations Team (SOT), and the Miami-Dade Police Department on Jan. 18, according to the release.

Poconos Motorcyclist Fatally Struck By Septic Truck, Troopers Say
A Monroe County motorcyclist died after losing control of his bike and being hit by a septic truck on a Chestnuthill Township road, say state police.
It happened on Saturday, May 13 around 3:20 p.m., troopers wrote in a release. The motorcyclist, an unnamed 26-year-old Stroudsburg resident, was headed south on Route 715 when he lost control and skidded into the northbound lane, authorities said.

One person was taken from a serious crash by an ambulance to the hospital, because "air medical was not available," fire officals said on Thursday, February 16, 2023.
For an unknown reason the person had slammed their car into a tree at 671 Boyer Mill Road, Hamilton Township, around 8:30 p.m, according to the Franklin Fire Company.
The crew was initially dispatched "as an auto accident with entrapment," but they did not find any entrapment upon arrival.

Three coroners, two ambulances, and one medevac were called to the single-vehicle crash that happened at 12:18 p.m. in the 1800 block of Pine Run Road in Hamilton Township, according to an updated release by Pennsylvania state police.
A 2011 Jeep driven by Christopher Heflin, flew off the road at a high rate of speed— landing 50 feet off the roadway into a tree in a cow pasture, according to the release.
