Seen Her? Alert Issued For Teen Missing Over A Week From Dix Hills
Authorities and family members of a missing Long Island teen are imploring the community for help.
Shivani McShane, age 14, was last seen in Dix Hills on Saturday, May 18, according to the New York State Missing Persons Clearinghouse.
She was spotted wearing a black sweater, black sweatpants, and white sneakers.
In a Facebook post, Devin Trapp wrote that Sivrani, her sister, was at the Madonna Heights School (located at 151 Burrs Lane) before she went missing.
“She has no phone, no means of contacting anyone, and no money,” Trapp wrote. “We are very worried about her.”

A Long Island resident has been accused of threatening to cause mass harm at a local school.
The man called the Half Hollow Hills East High School, located in Dix Hills, on Tuesday, April 9, and threatened to shoot and blow up the school, Suffolk County Police said.
Second Precinct Crime Section officers arrested the man near his residence in Patchogue at approximately 3:40 p.m. Thursday, April 11.

Suffolk County resident Matthew Dickson, age 44, of Dix Hills, was indicted on grand larceny charges for the embezzlement of over $70,000 from the Dix Hills Soccer Club while he was Vice President and President of the organization, Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond Tierney announced on Wednesday, Feb. 14.

A former employee at a residential facility on Long Island has been arrested for allegedly having sex with a teenage resident.
Hayden Daley, age 27, of Deer Park, who was an employee of WellLife Network, located in Dix Hills, on Arista Drive, began a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old at the facility on Monday, July 3, Suffolk County Police said.
Daley continued the sexual relationship with the teen, said police.

A Long Island man who stabbed his uncle over a dozen times and stole nearly $2,000 from him will now spend at least 25 years behind bars, authorities announced.
On Monday, Nov. 6, 44-year-old David Cahoon of Dix Hills received his sentence of 25 years to life for the brutal December 2018 stabbing, according to the Nassau County District Attorney.

Four employees are accused of selling marijuana vapes to minors at businesses on Long Island.
Police conducted compliance checks at seven smoke shops in Suffolk County on Wednesday, April 26, after receiving numerous community complaints, according to Suffolk County Police.
Out of the seven businesses checked, four were found to be selling marijuana products to minors, police said.
