Suspect Nabbed After Robbing Speedway In Oceanside
A suspect who said he was armed was apprehended shortly after allegedly fleeing the scene of a robbery at a Long Island business.
The suspect entered the Speedway gas station in Oceanside located at 2650 Long Beach Road at around 4:10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10.
Once inside, he removed beer from the refrigerators and approached the employee, a 44-year-old man, standing behind the register.

Man Broke Into Convenience Store, Stole Cigarettes, Lotto Tickets: Newark PD
A man is at large after he broke into a convenience store in Newark and stole cash and other items on Friday, Sept. 13, authorities said.
At 3 a.m., the suspect broke into Downneck Convenience Store on Pacific Street, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. The suspect was captured on surveillance video smashing the front glass door with a rock, Fragé said.
Once inside, he took money from the cash register, several lottery scratch-off tickets, and multiple boxes of cigarettes, Fragé said. Anyone with information is asked to call (1-877-695-8477.

Authorities are searching for a man who is accused of burglarizing the same Long Island store twice last month.
A man broke into E Smoke & Convenience, located at 370 Ronkonkoma Ave. in Lake Ronkonkoma, at 1:15 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20, according to a report from Suffolk County Crime Stoppers on Monday, Aug. 15.
He stole cash, cartons of cigarettes, and boxes of Kratom and rolling paper, authorities said.
Then at 1:30 a.m. on Friday, July 29, the man broke into the store again and stole cash and cigarettes, Crime Stoppers said.
