'Talented' Student-Athlete From Cape Cod Killed In South Carolina Hit-Run
A student athlete from Massachusetts whose life was cut short in South Carolina last weekend is being remembered as a "loving, funny, goofy, kind, [and] talented" young man by loved ones.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is now in effect for much of the region.
It lasts until 10 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, and covers Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess, Orange, Ulster, Sullivan, Greene, Columbia counties in New York, Fairfield, Hartford, Litchfield, New Haven, Tolland, New London, and Middlesex counties in Connecticut, and all of Massachusetts except Cape Cod, and northeast Pennsylvania. ID Released For Missing LI Boater
The identity of a missing boater who is the subject of a massive search has been released by Suffolk County Police.
U.S. Coast Guard officials, along with local law enforcement, are on the Great South Bay searching for Samuel Gutierrez, 47, of East Islip, who went overboard around 11 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, said the Suffolk County Police.
The incident took place near Heckscher State Park, said Coast Guard spokesman Petty Officer Hunter Medley.
