An all-new shop specializing in gourmet cheese, fresh-baked bread, platters, and more is now open in Westchester.
Dobbs & Bishop Fine Cheese celebrated the grand opening of its second location in Scarsdale at 35 Spencer Pl. on Thursday, Nov. 16.
The new store, opened by owners Kevin McNeill and Ruth Walter, offers a host of fine cheeses sold separately and in platters, which include fruits, crackers, jam, dips, and more.

A new eatery in Westchester that offers a host of organic salads, smoothies, and wraps is already off to a great start.
Beyond Greens and Grains, located in Yonkers at 798 Yonkers Ave., held a grand opening celebration on Monday, Nov. 13, Yonkers city officials announced.
The eatery, which soft-launched in August, is a perfect stop for those craving a healthy meal, snack, or drink to fuel them for the day. Menu items include acai bowls, chef-designed quinoa bowls, wraps, and sandwiches.

Thanks to the quick action from an off-duty police officer and fire captain from Westchester, a retired firefighter who collapsed after a basketball game is on the mend.
The incident happened on Monday, March 6, when retired New York City Fire Department fire marshal commander CJ Kanelopoulos, age 49, came off the court at St. Joseph's Men's Club in Bronxville and passed out while drinking water.
