Coastal Flood Warning In Effect For Jersey Shore Due To Offshore Storm, Full Moon
Many parts of New Jersey are under a coastal flood warning with an offshore storm and a full moon expected to fuel high tides, forecasters said.
The National Weather Service issued the coastal flood warning in Atlantic, Burlington, Cape May, Middlesex, Monmouth, and Ocean counties at 6 a.m. on Monday, Mar. 25. The NWS said the warning would be in effect until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Mar. 26.
A storm out in the Atlantic Ocean will increase offshore wind speeds and make waves larger, according to the NWS. That will combine with Monday night's full moon to create "widespread tidal flooding."

The highly-anticipated Floats and Boats celebration in Tices Shoal culminated with at least two injuries and one arrest for drunken boating over the weekend, authorities said.
Two people were injured by propeller strikes during the annual celebration at on Barnegat Bay in Lacey Township, authorities said.

Morris County Man Indicted In Fatal Alcohol-Related Boat Crash Into Cement Marker: Prosecutor
A 19-year-old man from Morris County has been indicted in a fatal boat crash in Toms River, authorities said.
On Wednesday,, June 22, Juan Fernandez, II, of Towaco, was charged with death by vessel and assault by vessel, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.
The head-on crash into a cement marker occurred in Barnegat Bay in Toms River on June 13, 2021, Billhimer said, and resulted in the death of Corey Molinari, 19, of Whippany.
