Lane Closure: Stretch Of I-684 In Southeast To Be Affected Traffic on a stretch of a busy highway in the Hudson Valley will soon be slowed by an upcoming lane reduction, officials announced.  Southbound I-684 is set to be reduced to one lane between Exit 9 (I-84) and Exit 8 (Hardscrabble Road) in the Putnam County town of Southeast on Thursday, June 13, the New York State Department of Transportation announced. The closure will last between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. and will allow crews to perform bridge work, officials added.

Commercial Building Catches On Fire In Westchester Thanks to quick action from firefighters, a blaze at a commercial building in Westchester was stopped from being worse than it could have been. The fire happened on Tuesday, June 11 around 5:15 p.m., when firefighters found light smoke coming from the roof of 11 Prospect Ave. in Mount Vernon, which contains several storefronts. Lane Closure: Parkway In Westchester To Be Affected In Multiple Municipalities Officials are advising motorists who travel in Westchester to watch out for an upcoming lane closure that will affect traffic on a busy parkway in multiple municipalities.  A single lane of the southbound Hutchinson River Parkway between Exit 14 (Route 127) in Harrison and Exit 13 (Mamaroneck Avenue) in Scarsdale will close on both Wednesday, June 12, and Thursday, June 13, the New York State Department of Transportation announced.  Officials added that the closure will last between 7:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. both days. The closure will allow crews to perform bridge work.
