A 16-year-old girl was killed on Thursday, May 30, after she was kidnapped by her stepfather and executed in a murder-suicide outside of her home in Acton, authorities said. Juliano Santana, 49, reportedly snatched the girl as she walked near her home on Great Road in Acton before driving her back to her house and killing her and then himself in his car, the Middlesex District Attorney said. An investigation has been launched in Howard County after an apparent murder and attempted suicide that left three women dead and two dead. Officers were called at approximately 10 p.m. on Thursday night to the 6900 block of Norwood Ferry, when neighbors reported hearing gunshots. Man ID'd After Fatal Fire In Pottstown: Coroner
A 53-year-old man died after the early morning blaze in Pottstown on Thursday, May 30, according to officials. Bradley Ludwig died from complications of thermal burns and smoke inhalation, said the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. The manner of death was ruled accidental. Authorities have said the fire broke out on the fifth floor of the Robert P. Smith Towers, 501 High Street, just after 6 a.m. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.

A former mixed martial artist from Philadelphia admitted to killing a man at an Atlantic City casino, authorities said.
