During his time writing for newspapers, magazines, and online publications, he’s covered everything from murderers to mommy bloggers, but his most interesting story is always the next one.

$2M Lottery Jackpot: Woman Lands Massive Payday After Buying Ticket In Springfield A woman won $2 million in the Massachusetts State Lottery after picking up her ticket in Springfield.  Vera Saykina won the seven-figure sum playing the "Billion Dollar Extravaganza," a $50 scratch-off lottery ticket.  She chose the lump sum payment of $1.3 million (before taxes) rather than the annuity.  Saykina bought the ticket at a Shell Mart gas station in Springfield. The store will get a $20,000 bonus for the sale.

Mass General Medical Assistant Groped Patient During Unnecessary Physical Exam: DA A 29-year-old medical assistant at Massachusetts General Hospital is accused of groping a patient during an exam that her doctor had not requested or approved, authorities said.  Leonardo Hernandez, of Jamaica Plain, is charged with indecent assault and battery on a person over 14, the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office said.
