Before settling into the Hudson Valley, Zak! previously spent time in the New York Daily News newsroom and worked for hyperlocal digital news outlets on Long Island. He wrote sports for The Ithacan and The Ithaca Journal before taking his talents to the Pacific Northwest, where he served as the sports editor at the Shoshone News-Press until heading back east to work with Daily Voice.

Man Accused Of Killing 30-Year-Old Found Shot In Maryland Home: Police A man has been arrested and charged with the murder of a 30-year-old man who was shot in Montgomery County and later died at an area hospital, authorities announced. Anthony Blackford, 39, has been arrested and charged in connection to the murder of Ange Gadji over the weekend in Gaithersburg. Gas Line Struck In Front Of Maryland Home Leads To Evacuations (Developing) Some residents in Montgomery County were evacuated on Thursday morning when a troublesome gas leak was reported outside an area home. An alert was issued at approximately 11 a.m. on June 6 when HazMat units were called to the 5600 block of Spruce Tree Avenue in Bethesda when a two-inch gas line was struck in front of a residence, officials said.
