An Asbury Park teenager has been arrested in connection with a shooting, authorities said.
Nazzir Wallace, 18, was charged with first-degree attempted murder, eluding, resisting arrest, obstruction of justice and multiple weapons and drug offenses, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago
At approximately 11 p.m. on Aug. 30, Asbury Park police responded to the 100 block of Memorial Drive for shots fired. Minutes later, authorities were told that a man with a gunshot wound had been admitted to a nearby hospital, Santiago said.

Hospital Standoff Suspect Killed Mom, Attempted To Murder Police Officers In Albany: DA
A man accused of threatening to shoot an employee before barricading himself inside a hospital in the region, sparking a nearly five-hour lockdown and police standoff, is now accused of killing his mother.
Dino Savoca, age 61, of Colonie, appeared in an Albany County courtroom on Wednesday, May 10, on multiple charges including second-degree murder.
Emergency crews in Albany were initially called at around 2:40 p.m. Monday, March 27, with reports that a person was armed with a handgun on the third floor of Albany Medical Center, located on New Scotland Avenue.

Philadelphia Man Sentenced For Shooting At Officers In South Jersey
A Philadelphia man has been sentenced to 25 years in New Jersey state prison for firing at two police officers, authorities said.
Arthur DiSanto, 42, struck one of the officers with gunfire, according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay.
The shooting occurred on Aug.. 23, 2021.
On Jan. 31, 2023, DiSanto pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree attempted murder, for shooting the officers.

SWAT Team Helps Capture Gunman Wanted In Bar Shooting, 2nd Suspect At Large: Linden PD
The Union County SWAT Team helped in capture a 27-year-old man accused of opening fire at a nightclub and wounding three people, while a second suspect remains at large, authorities said.
Najir Paige got into a fight at the bar at Menga Lounge in Linden when he left, got a handgun from a car, came back and fired shots through the front door around 2 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, Linden police said.
A 28-year-old man, 24-year-old woman and 23-year-old woman were injured in the attack.
